On September 29, Metropolitan Santiago will host the impressive magic show of illusionist Jean Paul Olhaberry, “Ilusion”, which last August 10, in Las Vegas, made him the winner of the prestigious Merlin Awards 2023, in the category of best revelation show of the year. The winner of the also known as the Oscars of magic will land with his spectacular show “ILLUSION” next Friday at 9:00 pm at Metropolitan Santiago, in which he will present different tests in which he will mix different disciplines of illusionism and escapism, where you will not only see magic, but you will participate in a collective act that will leave all attendees amazed, producing magic in their own hands. “Illusion” is a retrospective of the last 10 years of work and research in the art and illusionism that has made this outstanding national artist and that has led Chile to be in the ranking of the top ten of the best magicians in the world. As part of his show, Olhaberry will make the audience live a visual and interactive experience of high impact with the only magic show at the level of Las Vegas in Chile. In his staging he will propose fascinating mysteries, acts of mentalism, feats of escapism and magic in the hands of each spectator. The national illusionist Jean Paul Olhaberry, recognized as one of the greatest exponents of national magic, has an extensive career in the world of illusionism with awards such as IBM (USA), Frakson (Spain), WWC (China) and this year receives for the second time the Merlin Awards, the year 2022 won as the “Best escape artist of the decade” due to impressive tests performed in the most iconic places of our country and this 2023 for his new show “Illusion”, which demonstrates the current high level of Chilean and Latin American magic. It is worth mentioning that the Merlin Awards are granted by the International Magicians Society (IMS) who has also awarded outstanding magicians in the world such as: David Copperfield, Siegfried and Roy, Penn & Teller, Criss Angel, Lance Burton, among others. Ilusión has the artistic direction of Ignacio Severin, TV Director by training, who has a recognized trajectory as a photographer in Chile and has taken his creative talent to new horizons by masterfully directing each element of the show.
