Olivier Ginon, president of GL events, made an important visit to Chile on Wednesday, March 8th. He was accompanied by a delegation of collaborators from Brazil, France and Chile, among them Damien Timperio, CEO in charge of Transformation and Latin America, and Francisco Sotomayor, executive director of GL events Chile. During the event, Olivier Ginon visited the two venues of Venues Chile: Metropolitan Santiago, the most important and prestigious convention center in Santiago de Chile, which stands out for presenting high-level alternatives for conventions, exhibitions, and corporate and social events; and Parque Fisa, the only venue in Santiago de Chile that brings together in one place pavilions for exhibitions and convention halls, in a space of more than 200 thousand square meters. This venue, which has already hosted major events such as Edifica and Feria Fisa, will host the largest mining event in Latin America, Expomin 2023, in April. During his stay in Chile, the Company’s president, Olivier Ginon, held several meetings to analyze the development of the institution, the promotion of events, and the new challenges and opportunities that will help to boost trade, create jobs, and contribute to the economic reactivation both nationally and internationally. Ginon stressed the importance of meeting with the group’s collaborators in Chile. He thanked Tarpulin, FISA and Venues for their efforts and dedication, inviting them to continue working together as an indispensable team of the institution. Similarly, Olivier Ginon, recognized the work of GL events Chile during the pandemic, at a time when, in the face of adversity, they were able to move forward and demonstrate significant growth in 2022. Finally, he highlighted the great challenge that GL events Chile will have this year, facing its participation in the Pan American Games of Santiago 2023, to be held in Chile during October, inviting all employees who want to be part of this historic event to participate.
Chile’s most important convention center, Metropolitan Santiago, was nominated as the “South America’s Leading Meetings & Conference Centre” at the World Travel Awards (WTA).
The fair was well attended by the healthcare world and generated great opportunities for new business.
This excellent result obtained by Chile in Bocuse d’Or is added to the American title obtained by the Chilean team La Roja Dulce, which also qualified for the Grand Final of the Pastry World Cup, during the competitions held in Santiago.
