Santiago, 20.09.2023.- The meeting and offer of the health industry, Expo Hospital 2023, culminated with a positive balance, a space that presented the latest in innovation and new technologies, encouraging commercial exchange and debate on the advances and challenges that are currently trending in health at a global level. In its 11th version, the 4,000 m2 fair offered a commercial showcase and strategic exhibition space, with various technological solutions in the industry that aim to provide better tools to professionals and executives from the private, academic and public health sectors. The manager of Expo Hospital, Paula Miranda, pointed out that “we had a successful 2023 version, with the participation of high authorities and leading experts in the field, as well as national and international exhibitors who presented innovations that will undoubtedly be indispensable for the development of the sector. Today we are happy to announce that the event was attended by more than 5,000 visitors”. The exhibition area displayed a wide diversity of medical technology and innovations, showing specialized products and services such as ultrasound scanners equipped with artificial intelligence; infant mannequins with realistic moving limbs; nanotechnology; antibacterial infrastructure; medical sensors for remote monitoring in real time; digital x-ray equipment; fetal monitors; advances in telemedicine and digital health; and rescue and emergency equipment; responding to the main needs of the sector today. “During the 3 days of the fair, more than 320 brands from Chile and several countries around the world were exhibited in a commercial and strategic area that boosted the development of the industry by providing new and transformative tools. We are happy with the advances that were shown in specialized products, and the relationship between companies that we know contributed to the generation of business and contributed to the generation of new jobs”, said Miranda. For the first time, the event included an extension to its exhibition space called “Let’s Grow by Expo Hospital”, a place especially dedicated to SMEs and start-ups that highlighted innovations in medical care, specialized services and products that offer a more personalized and patient-centered approach, seeking to contribute to the wellbeing of the population. Among the most outstanding ventures, visitors learned about Situ, a platform that delivers all kinds of solutions and services to the elderly; Búho, the first platform that optimizes the purchase and dispatch of medicines, analyzing cheaper prices; and HUM, the only company that delivers a line of furniture on humanized vertical childbirth, as well as items such as tactile breast for education and newborn dolls with placenta, among others. EISACH CONGRESS The 12th version of the Expo Hospital Congress, which was held in parallel to the exhibition, presented a complete analysis of the main questions, complexities and solutions of the healthcare ecosystem, opening a debate on the various issues and new challenges facing the sector. With a rich program of 11 conferences that was addressed in a space for conversation and debate with more than 60 Chilean and international experts, the latest trends in current issues for the world of health were examined, including digital health, which has been fundamental after the difficulties caused by the pandemic. The meeting included a program with the main topics of interest for the development of the sector, among them, Health Reform; Modernization of the State as a Provider; the Power of Public-Private Collaboration, Academia and Society; Health of the Future, Development of AI and Personalized Medicine; Innovation for Transformation; among others, facilitating the transfer of information in an industry in constant movement. It began on Tuesday 12 around “Public Policies”, where the progress of health projects and reforms, efficiency in the use of resources and the effectiveness of current health activities were analyzed, analyzing the fulfillment of the health needs of the population, among other topics. On Wednesday 13, “Health of the Future” was discussed, with four panels that analyzed the path that medicine is following and the advances and progress it is making in current healthcare, both nationally and internationally. Finally, on Thursday 14, the conversation turned to “Digital Health”, where the axes presented by virtual health and the transformation of health systems were addressed, whose objective is to improve access and effective coverage, delivering efficient, effective and quality services that improve the quality of life of the population. EXPO SALUD 2024 The main trade fair organizer in Chile, FISA of the GL events Group, informed that the largest international health meeting in Chile, after 11 years of trajectory, will be expanded to promote an integral transformation, incorporating new lines of business in the sector. Thus, the event from 2024 will be: Expo Salud, A World of Health. In addition to hospital infrastructure and technology, the new trade fair and international congress will present five new areas: Digital Health; Biomedicine and Biotechnology; Research and Development; Laboratory and Pharmaceuticals; and Epidemiology and Prevention. Expo Salud, A World of Health, to be held in September 2024, projects a 50% growth compared to its 2023 version, with more than 7,000 professional visitors, 150 exhibitors and 500 brands, with a more comprehensive showcase of suppliers for the health area. Paula Miranda, Manager of Expo Salud, highlighted that “at the culmination of the exhibition and congress, we announce the future version of the meeting, which will be held again in Metropolitan Santiago.
